I obtained my M.Sc. from Donghua University (DHU), where my research focused on investigating single heterogeneous bubble nucleation at the surfaces of silica nanoparticles with distinct morphologies using Scanning Electrochemical Cell Microscopy (SECCM). Additionally, I used SECCM to study the electrocatalytic activity of individual nanoparticles in hydrogen evolution (HER) and oxygen evolution (OER) reactions.
Building upon this experience with single-entity electrochemistry, I am now a first-year Ph.D. student focusing on studying the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) using Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM), with an emphasis on the formation and transformation of key reaction intermediates. I also integrate SECCM with optical microscopy to study the catalytic behavior of individual nanoparticles, correlating their electrochemical reactivity with structural features to better understand nanoscale mechanisms, which is crucial for developing more efficient electrocatalysts.
