Leshan Usgodaarachchi is a PhD student in Materials Science, supervised by Bérengère Lebental and Benoît Piro, collaborating with IMSE-Université Gustave-Eiffel and ITODYS. His thesis is funded by EU projects LOTUS and HS4U and focuses on non-covalent functionalization of SWCNTs for chemiresistor for water quality monitoring. Leshan Usgodaarachchi developed an As (III) sensor for LOTUS and working on a SARS-CoV sensor for HS4U to detect CoV virus in condensed air-based water.
